Meals are prepared from fresh produce and cheese bought at local markets, and guests eat the multi-course meals they cook during the course. Evening dinners at the farmhouse are a five-course fixed menu that requires advance booking at breakfast and cannot be altered for allergies or intolerances.

The Old Farm of Amfreville is housed in an 18th-century historic building that has been fully restored and still shows bullet holes from American liberators on the wall. The property has a relaxing courtyard with outdoor seating areas, a garden, a sun terrace, BBQ facilities, and an outdoor fireplace. A free private parking area is available on site, and the grounds are surrounded by countryside with cows passing daily.

The hotel has three bed & breakfast rooms-a Deluxe Double Room, a Deluxe Double Room with Bath, and a Deluxe Twin Room-plus a fully self-contained three-bedroom Gite with its own private patio. All rooms offer private bathrooms with bathrobes, garden views, parquet floors, and tea and coffee makers. The standalone Gite has a large kitchen, a wood-burning stove, and three bedrooms, each with a separate full bathroom.

An airport shuttle service is available to and from Caen-Carpiquet Airport (87 km). A reasonable-sized supermarket is located in the local village, and Thursday is market day.
